-Students will create classroom agreements about expectations during sports games

-Team leader that monitors students and review class agreement (2 warnings, then 5 minute time out, then come find adult)

-Students who don't follow agreements after an adult is involved will watch a sportsmanship video before they can return to the game and present to class what they learned/how they will apply what they learned when they return

-Adult monitoring

Student who is being very disruptive and making it very challenging for the teacher to continue teaching the rest of the class.

Physical Aggression (Repeated)

Having the students have a conversation between the students involved and an adult there to monitor. Students talk it out and figure out what caused the physical aggression. Student apologizes to the student they hurt. Aggressor comes up with a plan to control their emotions and create a plan for the future. If another incident occurs, parents are contacted and a meeting is planned.

Setting up a system for students to drop off something to the office in a special location. Teacher will pick up the items later in the week.

Restorative Support

Classroom community circle each morning to set a positive tone for the day. Recite Positive affirmations and have conversations on good sportsmanship.

Set up sports monitors to help prevent conflicts during soccer or basketball: Monitors could wear a yellow vest. They could blow a whistle if shoving or using foul language occurs. They would also cheer when the teams are showing good sportsmanship. Student monitors rotate during the week.

Support students in conflict resolution.

Students can write out or illustrate their feelings and share them with the student(s) causing the problems.

Team Teacher Support. Student can visit a different classroom to collect their feelings- cool down
