You should talk with the band to know what instruments they are using, if they have a guitarist or more than one vocals or keyboard, so you know what you need to bring what types of cable or what mic they are using if the want amps

Sound check every mic, amps, sound feecback, the volume of mic, any effects check the sound desk and check everything is good.
-What do I need to do during the performance?
Help and check if they want sound effects or if they want more volume, be ready for any sound feedback, or if the want vocal effects as reverb or echo.
-What do I need to do after the performance?
Pack everything up, wires, cables, any amps, turn everything off
