To create a tessellation you need to get an 8 x 8 canvas (any will do but in this project it was stated specifically 8 x 8), create grid lines by going into "View" and selecting "New Guide" and selecting the size that is wanted, open a photo of your choosing and cropping it ( use the 1:1 (square)), transfer the photo onto the original canvas and place the photo in one of the areas, duplicate the layers by going into "Layers" and selecting "Duplicate Layer", then if you want to flip the photo (horizontally or vertically) go to "Edit" and then click to "Transform" to flip it. I liked how these made me dizzy, and I personally really like the first and fourth photo. I struggled to duplicate the photos because it was so tedious.
