When I arrived on earth what caught my attention were these weird shaped objects on the humans feet they call "shoes". What could they possibly be?

I would be surprised that humans communicate in so many different ways. It would confuse me why they need to eat so often.

If I was a alien and was to see humans for the first time,I would be confused about phones and wonder why are they using them and what are they used for,I would also wonder why people are eating food

If I was an alien seeing humans for the first time. The first thing that would surprise me about humans would be the communication I would think " these humans are making strange noises with their mouths and somehow understand each other through just the tone of the voice and gestures".
