The trailer starts of slow paced to build tension, all characters are shown with long shots. 80's music is used to reflect the era the character "Starlord" is from. Within the film there is a 5 unlikely friends cliché, between all of the main characters.

Analysis: 
Colours: within every location of the movie the lighting is dim and stingy which suggests that its low class and rough.
the female lead Gamora has red within her hair which suggests danger, this reflects the idea that she is an Assassin as stated within the trailer.
there are other too characters that have red within their costumes that is Star Lord and Drax 
Drax has red body markings which suggests he is again dangerous.
Star Lord's red jacket could mean something a little different; Passion is another connotation of red, it suggests that Star Lord is passionate about being a "guardian of the galaxy" but the fact he listens to 80's music suggests that he is passionate about the era he came from.

With the use of the actor Chris Pratt, there is a strong suggestion that the movie may contain comedy as Chris Pratt is known to bring a funny twist to the movies he stars in.

T.V screen: This is possibly the best way to promote a movie. as its more then just a static poster, its an Advert so it shows more, it gives you more of an insight into the action.
