It can get very cold here to cold to go outside for recess. We also have a mud season. 
Some of our favorite things to do are:
go sliding and sledding, snowshoeing, snow tubing ,snowboarding and skiing, we like to build, snow forts, tunnels, and snowmen, we also like to dig in the snow and use sand toys to build structures.  Sometimes we bury our cars. We like to drink hot chocolate, and wear wooly clothes like snow pants, hats and mittens. We make snow cones and eat snow with maple syrup on it. We also have ice houses and go ice fishing. Skating is fun too. In PE we go snow shoeing and skiing. Some of us even have an ice rink at our house! It might be at our dock, or in our field by our cattle.
Even when there is snow we go to school and we always play in the snow outside at recess!  We even have crazy carpets we are allowed to use at recess.  We average about 3-5 snow days every school year. The schools are still open but the buses are cancelled because it is too dangerous on the roads. Some students still come into school.
