Adele

The advert conforms to the same black and white theme that the album cover art uses. The only colour is the green for the album title which is 21 and the text that tells you "Available everywhere now." The fact this is is in colour and block capitals draws attention to it as they want to encourage the readers of the magazine to go and purchase or stream the album. Similar to many of the other adverts, there is a large image of the artist Adele and a smaller image of the album cover. Smaller text tells us the album includes a hit song "Rolling in the deep" and that she's a grammy award winning artist. This is to draw the readers attention and encourage them to listen to the rest of the album. Finally there is small print to tell us the relevant legal information about the project and a small logo of the label XL recordings.

This advert takes a very similar approach to Adele. Its black and white except for the Artists' name and the text to tell us the album is multi-platinum selling. The artists' Name is the biggest piece of text followed by the name of the album. This advert even uses a very similar layout of where things go on the advert. The advert also has the relevant legal information and label details at the bottom. One thing this advert does that the other two do not is the visual display of star ratings from various music critics/websites to encourage people to listen to the album.

The most noticeable difference between this and the other two adverts is the release date info. This advert was in the magazine before the album was released and has a higher emphasis on the release date info than the other adverts. It is the second biggest piece of text next to the artists name and is also the boldest fonts which stresses it's importance. Again it uses a similar layout as the artists picture takes a similar theme to the album cover, and the images were most probably taken from the same photo shoot. The advert features worded reviews from two magazines to encourage fans to listen to the the album, as well as larger writing referencing two of his singles on the album that are already doing well. One thing this advert does that the others don't is it includes the artists social media at the bottom of the advert.
