Safe, Secure, and Responsible are the important ways kids should be on the web. You can make a take away for parents focusing on these 3 ways to be on the web. Giving examples of both good and poor digital citizenship is a good idea for kids to see also. Kids and parents work together and communicate.

This is a tough one. My husband and I discuss this daily and our screentime. It is so easy for parents to allow kids to be on their devices (iPads, phones, games, and even TV). Kids love it and parents have free time to get things done, etc. The importance of having and requiring "NO screen" time every day is crucial for healthy growth and brain development in kids. We suggest puzzles, suduko, cards, board games, reading a book, going OUTside to play, ride bike, take a walk, draw, paint, legos, and many more activities that require NO screens at all!

Having a middle and high-schooler in my house, this is a topic that comes up often. Once you hit enter/send it is out there in cyberspace for-ev-er!! Colleges and workplaces look and see things always. People have lost jobs or not gotten into schools for things they posted in highschool. It is no joke - if it isn't nice, don't hit that button
