This week, we kicked off Women's History Month, where students created posters showcasing prominent women in history. The best posters will be displayed in the hallway next week for everyone to admire.

On Tuesday, students participated in a lively and successful debate on the challenges faced during the Industrial Revolution, sharing their ideas and sentiments in a diplomatic manner. Wednesday was dedicated to a photo-matching activity, where students matched key concepts and real-life photos from the Industrial Revolution to corresponding descriptions on their Google Form. Thursday was reserved for review in preparation for Friday's weekly exam.

This week, we focused on the Age of Imperialism. On Monday, students participated in the Public Figures activity, discussing and solving dilemmas about colonies under imperialist nations in a creative way. Tuesday involved analyzing images of artifacts and events from the era, where students matched images to descriptions through a Google Forms activity. On Wednesday, while I was out sick, students had free time to edutain or catch up on missing tasks with the substitute teacher. Thursday was a review day, and the week concluded with a weekly exam on Friday.

This week, students engaged in a Trails Activity designed to explore the causes of World War I. Each student completed all three "trails" (tasks) found inside the trail envelopes. One of these trails involved creating a flow chart outlining the key events that led to the outbreak of the war. They did it in each group's assigned whiteboards.

There were no regular classes on Tuesday and Thursday due to ACT, Aspire, and AzSci testing. However, students continued their learning independently through a follow-up Trails Activity starting Wednesday, which further deepened their understanding of the root causes of WWI. A brief 25-minute session on Thursday allowed students to continue that work.

On Friday, students wrapped up the week with a collaborative exam, which allowed them to synthesize and apply their learning in a team-based setting.

Tuesday featured a fun and insightful group task where students revised the Treaty of Versailles to make it fair for both the Allies and Germany. On Wednesday, we played Film Bingo while watching real WWI footage to reinforce key events and visuals. Thursday was dedicated to creating a timeline that summarized the major events of the war from beginning to end. We wrapped up the week on Friday with a weekly exam to assess their understanding of the topics covered.
