<title>Entrepreneur and Property Developer Miguel Leal by Miguel Leal</title>
      <link>https://padlet.com/miguel_leal/about</link>
<description>A native of Mexico, Miguel Leal began working at a cheese factory when he was a teenager. After traveling to the United States for an apprenticeship, he identified the opportunity to create specialty Mexican cheeses such as cotija for distribution to the large Latinx population in the Chicago metropolitan area. To meet growing demand, he established Mexican Cheese Producers Inc., which produced 60-pound wheels of cotija in a large plant in Darlington, Wisconsin. In 2007, Miguel Leal sold the successful company to Sigma Alimentos, which still uses his original recipes.

Today, Mr. Leal focuses his efforts on property development. His projects include the La Giralda subdivision in Irapuato, Mexico, which comprises 150 single-family homes. He also plans to support the country’s organic food movement by teaching sustainable farming methods to local communities.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Miguel Leal enjoys scuba diving and boating. A dog enthusiast, he intends to develop a national Mexican dog breed that shares characteristics with the Argentine Dogo, known for its loyalty and hunting ability.</description>
