Children being neglected is a problem that we might not even know is happening very close to us. With school, college, work, social media, friends, and other parts of life, we sometimes forget that taking care of our children is number one priority. Neglect can be very dangerous for the child's health and more than 60.8% of the time, neglect also includes some form of abuse. We can raise awareness of child neglect by paying attention to children and making sure to have programs and daycares available that can help large or busy families. Children should always have meals, shelter, and support.
