________________________________________________________________
First, in the video, there is a part where two boys are taking turns reading to each other. I found it rather interesting that one of the boys seemed to get impatient when the other stumbled on his words. He was obviously more advanced in his reading skills and was trying to get the other to understand what he already knew. Personally I think this is cool because I believe it is a great thing for children to learn with and from their peers.

_____________________________________________________________________________
Second, I thought the concept of "scaffolding" was pretty interesting. In the video, the children were introduced to an assignment. The teacher gave instructions and guidance but allowed the children to take her information and make it their own by illustrating it on a sheet of paper. Her explanation of the assignment was clear, concise, engaging, and almost encouraging. In my opinion, this really allows kids to learn and express creativity and critical thinking.
