When I get an assignment, I usually start brainstorming with my friends and develop a deadline for my project. At that moment, I can't wait to work on it and I want to make sure that the work is impeccable. I always fear that I will be unable to complete my task in a given period. I procrastinate because I believe there is more to do and accomplish in a task, For example, as the submission day gets nearer, I want the assignment to be flawless for instance checking the plagiarism to make it's 100% unique, finding more articles to have a good start in writing the assignment and I will usually say to myself "I still got time to do, you can start it tomorrow". I can, however, keep my procrastination under control by avoiding distractions. "Do your work first, then play games afterward," I always remind myself. Next, I keep a weekly to-do list to verify that I'm not delaying and that I'm doing key tasks step by step.

The dreamer doesn’t think they should have to work hard to get what they want. We all have met (or even been) the dreamer. Great ideas. Does very little about them. The thought of actually having to do some work either bores them or frustrates them - so they just think “I shouldn’t have to work hard to fulfill my dreams”. i thought myself tend to be a dreamer and think it should all fall into lap without working on it.

According to the six styles of procrastination, I feel the most relatable to the first type which is The Perfectionist. The reason why I chose this type is because I tend to be a perfectionist when completing tasks as well as expecting a good result from it. The fear of getting a result far from the expectation I have upset me. I also dwell on the mistakes I did and feel like I could have done it better. Therefore, I procrastinate because I have not come up with the best idea to start the tasks and also to avoid mistakes as much as I can. It affected me greatly because I started to be a pessimist when it comes to finishing my work. However, I overcome it by doing my assignments with my friends as I can ask for their thoughts on my ideas and do a final checkup before I submit it. I also keep a checklist on my phone to remind myself that I still need to get my work done. Lastly, I reward myself by eating delicious snacks after I completed my tasks.

The Crisis-Maker

What i know about procrastination is to put off intentionally the chores, task or assignment that should be done. Procrastination may lead our feelings of guilt, inadequacy, depression and self-doubt, and generelly makes you feels bad.
My type of procrastination is number 4 the crisis-maker because i enjoy last minute adrenaline rush when i want to get my task or assignment done. This kind of procrastination usually justify themselves by saying things like "I work best under pressure or stress". The work may have done but the quality of the task not thorough making this kind of people rarely become an expert at anything.
Solution for the crisis-maker, is by changing how you think. Strived toward changing your thinking style from extremists and general, to moderate and specific eg ask yourself how can you make the new task completed more early and in calm situation. Second is by changing how you speak to yourself, instead speaking in overdramatic way try to avoid it by using more 'thinking' words and fewer 'feelings' word focus more on positive and ignore the negative.
