The main character, Auggie changes over the course of the book because at the beginning he feels like he isnt connected to kids his age or anyone else. He feels like they have to be with him and they arent with him because they want to. He is also a nervous non confident person because of the way he looks. But, by the end of the book Auggie is a confident person in school and to his friends.

My opinion of the book was that it was amazing and a very good book for several reasons. First, it has a great plot that helps the characters develop over the course of the story. Second, it raises awareness of how people can be treated differently because they are new or different.

The author of this book was R.J Palacio. His style was to make it a first person fictional story. He chose to write what the main character, Auggie was thinking throughout the book. In my opinion this was the best way to write this story because it is much easier to understand what the characters are going through knowing what they are thinking
