Americans were angry that the British imposed “ taxtation without representation” .This occurred on December 16, 1773 and lasted about three hours. Americans dumped 342 crates of tea into the harbor. This happened because because Britain was in debt so the British Parliament imposed a series of taxes on American colonists to help pay these debts .The boston Tea Party was the first major act to go against the British and caused the 13 colonies to fight for independence. This is an representation of our discussion of freedom because the 13 colonies fought for their independence and so are we.

Uncivil rest in Mexico in the 1910s caused it to go into a civil war. This civil war is what the Mexicans call “The Mexican Revolution”. The reason for such a war was due to political turmoil. This turmoil was controlled by two revolutionaries, Emiliano Zapata, a man from the south of Mexico and Francisco "Pancho" Villa from the North. By 1911, the man behind the turmoil Porfirio Diaz, former dictator of Mexico gets overthrown, which gives President Francisco Madero power. Porfirio Diaz is best known for saying this famous quote, “Poor Mexico, so far from God and so close to the United States,”. About 890,000 Mexicans would migrate to the United States and set themselves free from the brutal and chaotic war that was the Mexican Revolution. - Osiel C.H.
