After chasing the monster who had "kidnapped" her mother, Emily became more conscious of the world that she is in now. The new world is full of fantastic things, but at the same time, it contains a lot of dangerous things. Amulet #2 is such a good book that got me really wanting to read the rest of the series!

I think all of the Wings of Fire books are great because exploring a different world in a completely different perspective is really cool! I love how in each story there is another adventure, which leads to more and more!
Talons of Power, book 9 in the series, was about a dragon named Turtle, the prince of the SeaWing Kingdom. He was an animus (magic) dragon who didn't want to show his ability to others, for then he couldn't stay hidden. But, when Darkstalker rose from his restless sleep for years, Turtle couldn't hide himself anymore. Not when his friends, family, his teachers of Jade Mountain and classmates, and his kingdom was all in danger.

He meets several boys, and starts to live normally. But, the boys are dying left and right from these robotic creatures called the Grievers. As the ending nears and a mysterious girl appears named Teresa, who became his best friend, the Grievers are released into their home, and now they need to find a way to escape before it is too late. There is much , much more to this series but it would take a lot of space to write it!
