There was an elderly lady who came up to the register and she was telling me how she had recently moved into an assisted living home and her family rarely came to visit her. She said that coming into my store was the highlight of her day and she always loved to shop around. She then thanked me for having a conversation with her and that she really appreciated having someone to talk to. In that moment I realised the power of compassion and that what may seem small to you can mean the world to someone else.

I stayed with the girl who had crashed into the tree until the cops came. An incredible mom stopped and made sure that I was okay as well and helped me understand everything. When they started they realized that there was a lot more to fix than they had originally thought. My mom was keeping me up to date with everything and I was nervous for my grandma. My parents always told me to pray for those who were in bad health, so I prayed a lot over that day until her surgery was over.

I was so frazzled that it was difficult to think straightly. Super mom stayed with me and helped take over the situation after I told her I didn't know what to do. My parents came and picked me up after I talked to police because I didn't want to drive home. This taught me that is okay to ask for help and depend on others in certain situations.
