         <description><![CDATA[<div>·         Teaching track and field with a SEM focus has shown to be an effective way of improving students technical performance, knowledge and skill performance when compared to traditional teaching methods (Hastie et al, 2013)</div><div>·         Track and field is ideal for physical education because it is a sport that allows diverse students an opportunity to find success in different areas (O’Neill and Krause, 2016) </div><div>·         Individual and team sports covered by track and field events </div><div>·         Class for the most part has little to no athletic experience so preferable to have more teacher instruction early on giving way to facilitation</div><div>·         Experienced students athletes can coach in the latter stages </div><div>·         Weaker students in class enjoy learning about sport too </div><div>·         Offers alternate roles to athlete </div><div>·         Culminating event of the model is ‘Olympic’ lesson, this will allow teams to pick a country and represent it </div><div>·         Keeps module interesting and competitive throughout  </div>]]></description>

         <title>Organisation of Learning Experience  </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>·         Lesson will take place over 6 week period with a different aspect of athletics being the focus each week </div><div>·         Students will partake in: Hurdles, relay, long jump, discuss, javelin and the final week will be an Olympic style event  </div><div>·         Not all students will be partaking in the activity itself as per the sports Ed model</div><div>·         Class will be divided into 5 groups of 5 </div><div>·         Roles will be proposed and alternate on a weekly basis </div><div>·         Coaches: use of IPads and skill cards to provide feedback and instruction </div><div>·         Athletes: Partake in the activity </div><div>·         Equipment and officials: organisation of lesson and adhering to code of safety and event rules </div><div>·         Researcher: investigates events and complies statistical information </div><div>·         Students choose a country to represent</div><div>·         Research chosen country and design flags and posters </div><div>·         Students train for Olympics </div>]]></description>
