I’ve asked my friends and the answer is usually disappointing. Kind of like the gum or the car commercial, when people go to a lot of trouble to answer “What are you doing?” in person, rather than texting someone back. But cell phones have their purposes. People will ask about my number and then don’t understand, when I say I don’t answer it. I will receive some text (for a specific reason), but otherwise, the phone is for me to call out. The internet is just interesting. Allows you to see or learn or read or try so many things that you couldn’t do 25 years ago.
