I wanted to do it by myself, so I could make them proud. I started cooking, it was going smooth until I remembered that the pan I needed to fry the pappadums were in the sink but the soup had to be watched so it didn't overflow, my sister came in and asked if I needed help, I said no and that I was almost done, even though I did need her help. I thought nothing would happen if I didn't watch the pot for a few seconds, I was wrong. The moment I looked away it overflowed, ruining the soup which then flowed freely onto the rice, ruining that too. If I had taken the help then the dinner would've gone fine.

SO even though I struggled to understand a few concepts I didn’t ask for help, I was so determined to achieve this accomplishment, that I didn’t ask anyone for help. Then the day of the olympiad came and I did not get a gold, not a silver, or even a bronze. I was so disappointed, then it hit me, had I asked for help, I would’ve understood the concept. Next time I was not going to make that mistake. I ended up slipping and falling down, not sustaining any serious injuries.
