Maybe find another tool GDevelop for collaboration isn't the best since its £30 per user a month and account sharing kinda sucks because you worry about overriding over peoples work

I'd suggest issuing the assignment earlier & with slighly clearer rubric and submission requirements, personally. Other than that it was good.

GDevelop and Teaching

The gaming module was not great. I found that Gdevelop is not a great software to learn on, especially when you are restricted to use some features, so its quite difficult to make proper professional 3D game, we were having to use long ways just to do features that we could have if we paid the £33 subscription. It was just very irritating to code on, it was not straight forwards at all, the instructions on the powerpoint were not that clear either, since there are variables that all have the same symbol so finding the correct one was quite difficult. If we had learn for a gaming course, then gdevelop should not be the software chosen. There are better choices like unity or unreal engine 5, which would have aided us better if our end goal was to make a 3D game. We were not taught anything about game design, and how it should look to the player and what we should consider when designing our game. Even though ulka had seen my game once or twice before, on the day before my game is due, I am told to change how my game looks cause it doesn't matter what I want, its what the player wants. I didn't quite understand how to take that especially when I asked for help on something specific, but she was talking about something else. The lectures didn't really have any actual structure to them. We weren't given time to work through the powerpoints, which would have been quicker to learn through, since ulka went into every detail but at a very fast pace so we couldn't even follow what she was doing, which left us a bit lost in the lecture. When following the powerpoints in my own time, it took me roughly 2-3 hours to complete the platformer game, however it took us roughly 2 and a half weeks to learn the game. It would have been better if we were given time to work through the game with the powerpoint and she was there to teach more difficult parts and assist when we needed help. We were still being taught stuff on the day before our game is due. The powerpoints took a bit of time, cause they don't have great detail, many variables had the same symbol, so some of the pictures were a bit inconclusive as to what we had to do. at times we ran into problems that she was not too aware on how to fix it as she herself was learning features of Gdevelop. I found at times that Ulka made some unnecessary jokes, and at times her comments or wording to students were slightly unprofessional as a teacher. When asking for help at the beginning of the lesson, as I had to leave early, she came to me 5 minutes before I had to leave, after helping others, when it came time for me to leave, making me late. Overall I didn't really enjoy this module. We were all rudely told that our projects were inadequate despite seeing it multiple times over the week, and then extended the deadline because she expects better, not because she couldn't accept our requests for the admissions. She spent time helping students not in the group rather than prioritising the students in the group, and told us to sit down with hand gestures and looks. attitude towards students was just rude and slightly disrespectful. None of us were shown which specific files to submit which led to confusion and worry that if we can't submit it we would fail. We were just told a list and couldn't find how to do it, so now worried she doesn't have the files to pass us
