They run into the room where the mother and baby sleep to find them both trapped on debris. They try and shout for help down from the holes that have formed on the floor from the fire. A fireman hears the preach for help and tries to make their way up. The fireman is unable to get up to the floor. So the family attempt to get the baby and the mother. They save the baby first by tying rope to the baby and their blanket. They signal someone from a lower floor that has access out to drop the baby down supported on the rope. The three then come back for the mother by removing the debris and picking her up as she is injured. The fire is spreading too quickly and they have no other option but to jump. They scream down that they’re jumping. The injured mother goes first followed by the other three. One survives and calls for help from the emergency services.

We was sleeping at night we woke up and smelt smoke and could see more spreading across the rooms so we evacuated the building as quick as we could and we informed the fire service about where he fire was in the building and the best route they should take to get rid of the fire. We also told them that it was more people in the building on higher floors than us that was stuck up there because the fire was blocking the fire exit so they couldn’t get out of the building. We was also informing the fire service that we had family and friends in the building which we couldn’t get to because they was on the floor above us. Finally we gave witness statements to the police to give them as much evidence as they can get to make sure they can use the evidence to save lives in the building
