I think the War On Drugs and No Child Left Behind are even better examples of good intentions gone awry.
What ideas and policies of today are most likely to result in more harm than good with future hindsight?
I would suggest the following are candidates.
Separating people for activities in schools by race (like my niece's school in Chicago did this), privilege walks (in my town's schools), demoralizing police and defunding them (Seattle, Minneapolis, etc), DEI trainings, requiring 8th Graders to read books like Kendi/Reynolds "Stamped" in 8th grade (ahistorical and promotes race-essentialism), etc.
