I chose to name it "Down With Big Brother" because it is the introduction to Winston's life and he talks about his fear with the government - Big Brother because he has complications with this governemnt, but does not want to get in trouble with the Thought Police. The entire phrase relates to how the kids call him a traitor or a criminal, obviously for fun, but it makes him a bit uneasy knowing what he had wrote earlier. This also makes it ironic because the children are all in a youth group called the Spies making it seem like they knew about what he wrote. It also has another meaning of telling them not to look at the hanging they wanted to go to, but they are too immature to realize this event is not so "upbeat".

Then we get to the dark haired girl that takes off her clothes as her and Winston walk closer and closer. Weirdly enough he is distracted by the tossing of the clothes rather than anything else. During the exercise session towards the end of the chapter that seems out of place, he goes through a tedious workout that he complains about. Then he starts to enjoy it somewhat because he did something that he has not in years, touch his toes without bending his knees.

I included the word limit due to rationing objects, mainly food because there are common times when the Party shops are unable to supply certain items and in the present of this chapter, it was chocolate, so they were rationalizing it because they were limited.

I name this title "Brainwashing the Citizens" because in this chapter, it mainly focuses on the Two Minutes of Hate. In the Two Minutes of Hate, people automatically show anger as they are shown to the enemy. Even if you don't show a reaction at first, you end up following the crowd and showing it eventually. Winston wasn't really a strong believer and didn't react to the enemy that was shown on the telescreen, but as seconds passed on, he ended up showing the same anger as everyone else in the room. Chapter IV: Alterations

"Alterations" is obviously about the memory holes and Winston's job. Winston maintains and manages the pieces of information that go within these slits, these slits are incinerators that burn all the true information. They then give false information to Winston to distribute that allow fake news to plague the population; Winston almost seems oblivious to what he is doing and we catch at a time where he realizes. This is propaganda, but on a much higher scale and much more potent.

Chapter V: Let's Talk Over a Cup of Coffee

I believe that the conversation with Syme and his talks about duckspeak is talked over breakfast as they eat. Coffee is usually drank in the morning. He also has a cup of coffee and a cigarette in the breakroom where we learn about the suspicions with the dark haired girl.

This chapter is about how Winston wants to cry for help with the use of vulgar words, but will not also himself to. To combat the traumatic events with his wife he goes to find sexual pleasure with a prostitute, obviously against the rules and could be punished. This form of therapy, as Winston describes, did not do much, but make him feel like a bad person. At the end of the event, he realizes sexual release is not all there is in a person and still wants to scream his heart out. These are his cries for help. Yes, cries for help can also mean phrases used during sexual intercourse.
