Subordinate: The poet states the bird being stranded of liberty, or freedom, being controlled and not doing as he pleased. Nobody deserve to be deprived of their freedom.
Equivalence: The poet uses the same phrase “I Know why…” to state the idea that he knows the same feeling and oppression the bird was experiencing while in the cage.
