People have been wearing shoes for centuries, Maximizing on there comfort over style. Now we have a wide selection of shoes all at a reasonable price. In this expedition it will show the various shoes that have gone in and out of popularity for years, every shoe for every occasion. In America we don’t look for comfort first we look for the newest trend. Most trends go as fast as they come and it is no different in the shoe world. Over the last 30 years as the female population in the workplace has grown so has the popularity of heels. Before that the classic women’s shoe was a wedge or a very low heel. For men loafers and Oxfords were the only acceptable shoe, but as time goes on people have much more freedom in the way that they dress. People like Lady Gaga have brought new names to the shoe world, for big celebrities like her it is easy for them to start a trend without even realizing it. In the last 20 years alone the idea of the perfect shoe has changed going from a more extravagant shoe with lots of color to a more simple and classic look. The first thing many people notice is what shoes you are wearing, with a simple look down they could either be silently judging you or complimenting you. Part of American culture is following the trends that are set. Over that past hundred years this has been true for many Americans, not wanting to look out of place. While choosing these shoes I was not only thinking about what is popular now but what has also gone out of style over the past few years. All of these items have had major popularity in America, some selling out within hours.
