NATO (1949)

In 1962 there was an event that seemed certain was a nuclear exchange as American forces blockaded Cuba as they prepared to invade. This was a Soviet deployment of nuclear missiles in Cuba. Just then a comprise happens between Khrushchev and JFK they agreed to remove the missiles form Cuba as for American promise not to invade the island.

Cuban Revolutions (1959-1961)

Soviet and Afghanistan Wars (1978-1989)

Destruction of the Indonesian Communist Party (1965)

Egypt expelling Soviets (1972)

Vietnamese Military Efforts (1960's)

The Hydrogen Bomb
