She got involved with a pimp and got involved with crime for 20 years. BUT... she had a turn around, she now leads a nonprofit that helps people to escape poverty and have a chance to start over after prison. Like Tubman, she is an advocate. She is an advocate for ending mass incarceration and drug treatment.
