I love to be surrounded by creative people. They push you towards thinking outside the box. Rules don't really apply to creativity, nor can it ever be fully regulated. In the picture there is a squat in Athens. It is an open theatre, circus, concert hall and dancestage. People claimed this empty space, and filled it with culture. This is my philosophy as a cultural worker. Find empty spaces, see opportunities and fill it with something meaningful for people to enjoy!

WHY AM I working in the field of CULTURE, why am I at Andros?

To open my mind, to empower the organisation where I currently work with the tools for communicating the contents we produce. I am also here because our organisation lacks strategy in communication with the audience and with the participants in the events.

I am also here, because I believe that every new connection, every new collective is precious in a personal and professional way, it is enriching for me and afterwards also for the organisation where I work.

I work in the field of cultural management now and I deal with culture and the arts, because I believe in the importance of the experience that the arts and culture can bring.
It can bring awareness for social changes, for climate changes etc. It has to exist so we maybe won't dissapear in the dust!

Divide in 2 groups.
Within 30 minutes make at least 3 filmed interviews with locals of Andros. The topics are:
1) what is missing in the cultural life of Andros
2) what is a good location to fill this gap.
The two roles within teams (interviewer and camerawoman) should change every time.
In the end of every interview make a photo that depicts the aspirations of the interviewee.

We are the Andros municipality. We would like to create a digital platform that showcases the island. As cultural operators, we would like you to interact with the locals and get their stories on representative objects and locations on the island. We have taken the pictures, representing these objects and locations. Approach the locals and collect some stories on the pictures. Interpretate the stories with whatever visual or textual tools you think it's appropriate.
