It is also better suited for the rough and muddy conditions I often encounter on tour routes. For example, Akagera National Park becomes very muddy during the rainy season, and the roads leading to Mount Bisoke and other volcanoes in Volcanoes National Park are often quite bumpy. In such conditions, the safari vehicle offers a more comfortable and reliable experience for customers compared to the Land Cruiser, which can struggle on these terrains.</mark></p><p><strong>o. How will owning your own vehicle improve your business?</strong><br><mark>Owning my own vehicles will significantly improve business operations by eliminating the regular rental costs associated with running tours. It will also help avoid common issues such as the shortage of quality vehicles during the high season, when tourist numbers increase. Additionally, it will create an opportunity for Africa4corners to generate extra income by offering the vehicles for hire when they are not in use for tours.</mark></p><p><strong>o. I provided a spacious, comfortable safari vehicle equipped with strong Wi-Fi, which the clients really appreciated. I helped them resolve the issue, and this personal touch made the experience even more memorable for them.</mark></p><p><br></p><p>o How did you tailor the experience for the customer? <br>c. Example 3:<br></p><p> A Shorter or Day-Long Tour</p><p><mark>One memorable day-long tour I organized was a Kigali city tour for a solo traveler from Germany. The itinerary included a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Kimironko Market, a local art gallery, and a traditional Rwandan lunch at a popular local restaurant.</mark></p><p>How did you handle the logistics?</p><p><mark>I planned the route carefully to avoid traffic and maximize time at each site. I arranged for timely hotel pickup and drop-off, and provided a clean, air-conditioned vehicle with bottled water and snacks. I also coordinated with the restaurant in advance to ensure they could cater to the guest’s dietary needs.</mark></p><p>How did you make the experience special for the customer?</p><p><mark>To make the experience more personal, I shared insider knowledge about the city, including stories and historical context not commonly found in guidebooks. I also introduced the guest to a local artist during the gallery visit, which gave a unique and interactive cultural touch. Political instability</strong><br><mark>Political instability, particularly in neighboring countries like the DRC, is a risk that can occasionally affect the safety and security of certain regions. For example, issues along the border may impact areas like Rubavu/Gisenyi and Musanze, where key tourist activities such as water sports on Lake Kivu and hiking, as well as Golden Monkey and Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park, could be temporarily suspended due to safety concerns.</mark></p><p><mark>While these situations are beyond my control, my approach to managing this risk is to stay informed and adhere to all local regulations and security updates. In the event of such disruptions, I would pivot by promoting and selling alternative local destinations that remain safe for tourism, ensuring that customers can still enjoy a fulfilling experience. This flexibility allows me to continue operations without major setbacks.</mark></p><p><br></p><p>b. Vehicle maintenance issues or breakdowns</p><p><mark>Vehicle maintenance &amp; breakdowns issues can be managed as these vehicles will have insurance to cover the costs in case of accident, and they should also be checked out regularly by a trusted &amp; experienced mechanic before and after running a tour or hiring but since they will be brand new cars there will be less of this challenge.</mark><br>c. Low tourism during certain seasons</p><p><mark>To cope up with this challenge of low tourism during certain seasons can be done in different ways ex: pricing, marketing &amp; Re-investment.</mark></p><p><strong><mark>Pricing:</mark></strong><mark>&nbsp; reducing prices during low season and offering discounts on some types of tours can help to make sales.</mark></p><p><strong><mark>Marketing:</mark></strong><mark> I think this is the best &amp; right time to market tours offered by my business intensively to get leads who may travel during high season hence generating even more revenues.</mark></p><p><strong><mark>Re-investment:</mark></strong><mark> short term investment in businesses that operates during low season is a way to go, this can help to keep the revenues earned circulating and making extra profits. &nbsp;<br></mark></p><p>d. Customer satisfaction issues</p><p><mark>This can be managed by providing as much information as possible to the customers before starting their tour, encouraging them to ask more questions throughout the tour, follow the itinerary and also requesting reviews from the customers or feedback on their experiences, to help me do better next time, however if it’s a multi-days tour offered I prefer requesting feedback at the end of each day to enable me offer a good customer service on the next day.<br></mark></p><p><br></p>]]></description>
