         <description><![CDATA[<p>One activity that personally soothes my daily anxieties, is cooking. I find the formulaic and rudimentary aspect of cooking endearing, as the simplest of ingredients can culminate to the finest of dishes. For one, a sandwich is quite simple, one that requires a low skill ceiling, but is one of the most prized meals across the globe. The simple combination of ingredients that would lack an appeal as a standalone, begin to mix into a cohesive and complete dish, in which each ingredient compliments one another. As such, when i am cooking it serves as combination of both a nurturing distraction to the stressors in my life but also a reminder to the things i hold dear.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>An image that evokes inspiration within me, would be the professional boxer, <em>Caleb Plant, </em>winning a world title boxing belt for the passing of his late daughter. The reason why i resonate with this image, is because of the daily reminder to take gratitude in the people i value, as life can take them away without any notice. Furthermore, as the daughter of<em> Caleb Plant </em>was his reason for working hard to win the world title, it is also a reminder for me to think of my reasons for entering the health care field and my personal values. When i spend time with my family back at home, my mind reels back to this image and i have the inspiration to keep chasing my goals in support of my loved ones.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>A video that is inspiring to me, is the founder of ring, Jamie Siminoff coming back to a place where he was rejected and looked down upon, but now as a renewed millionaire who is up to par with the individuals who critiqued him. Upon being dejected on shark tank, Jamie didn't let the fear of rejection or embarrassment stop him from working hard and continuing to pursue him dreams. One lesson i took upon viewing the acclaimed story, is the nurturing of criticisms and how one can grow from listening to the things he doesn't want to hear. Jamie took the advice of the fellow sharks and as a result, caused him to grow as a entrepreneur, but if was bitter and angry of the denials and disprovals, Jamie would have not been successful as he is today. As such, it is a reminder for me to learn from the mistakes i make and try to be more understanding of the criticism directed towards me.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>My self-care plan required me to think about the areas in my life that hold the most stress. I tend to find habits or activities to cope with these certain things, so I had to navigate my common go-to techniques which I always relied on. For one, cooking was the immediate habit that came to mind. The inspiration aspect was also a simple task for me, as I like to consume media from a plethora of mediums. More specifically, mediums that are closely tied to who I am. Boxing is a huge part of my life and finding an underdog story in the world of boxing is as simple as finding treasure in plain sight. For relaxation, I had to do some studying and what I found most from my studies, is that breathing has been linked to cognitive function and physiological benefits. In times of anxiety, the brain needs oxygen for the nervous system to function and help soothe internal and involuntary organs. Relaxation techniques stood out to me as the crux of my self-care plan, which incorporates all the elements for my well-being. I plan to implement my self-care strategies in two scenarios. The first would be immediately when I wake up. The reason for this is due to my habit of checking my phone and seeking the new headlines or text messages I receive—a false sense of fulfillment and artificial dopamine which bolsters my productivity for the day. Instead, I can utilize any distractions, inspirations or relaxation coping techniques that will freshen my mind and help me get ready for the day. For example, putting classical musician <em>Debussy</em> can paint a scene environment that provides me solace. The second time I would utilize my self-care plan is when I am undergoing scenarios of stress. After all, this plan was designed to take care of my well-being and to catalyze my contempt. One benefit my self-care plan has on my personal life would be the building of my emotional resilience. The daily anxieties that often hold me back from being the best version of myself can be bolstered, and I can manage my emotions more efficiently. For instance, it can be difficult at times to talk with family members or sort out any resentments, but when I am emotionally stable, it can lead to more stable relationships, as I become more focused and present. Professionally, my productivity as a student will be enhanced, as I can stand strong against worldly distractions and temptations when I have a solid emotional foundation. By building a solid foundation that can keep my emotions intact, I can channel my energy into my studies in pursuit of my educational prowess.</p>]]></description>
