I grew dahlias in my backyard this summer and sold flower bouquets to the cafe where I work (the last one I made is pictured here). It was a lovely experience both sourcing the tubers from local farms in my area and growing a new kind of flower!

As a multimedia artist, I encourage others to experiment with different mediums. This is one of my favorite pictures I've taken of a young friend who felt inspired to incorporate produce into her drawing.
