Personally, I don’t really like this book. The writing style is pretty easy to flow through, which means you’ll finish the book quick. The murder wasn’t that hard to guess if you paid attention. I also find that this book was set up more as a teen drama more so than a good thriller. I feel like this is a very basic version of a “who dunnit?” type story. In my opinion the characters aren’t really that likable, and they’re a bit cliché.
I rate this book 5/10.

Seven teenagers decide to stay in a cabin for the weekend, later only five come out alive. This group is composed by Aaron, Megan, Kyle, McKenzie, Courtney, Blake, and Josh. The morning after the day they got settled in they find Courtney and Josh dead on the kitchen counter. The police come by and they’re now all persons of interest. McKenzie tries to think positively, and assume someone broke in and hurt her friends. She doesn’t believe that they could do that to each other. Later, the group starts getting terrorized by the killer, weird messages, unexpected visits, and another death.

This book did a pretty good job on showing the reader how alone you can feel when there are people around you. The writing style is pretty easy to read, so you get into it easily. The characters kind of started in one space, and it kinda ended in the same, which I don’t find a bad thing. This book is a bit of an emotional roller coaster, and it’s good at building up emotion. you get happy for the characters, and then something happens. I really enjoy this book, and would recommend it. This book is a good 10/10.

This book starts out on a bell tower, where the two characters meet, Violet, and Finch. Finch is the person who has 1 friend that they hold at a distance and doesn’t really open up with. Violet is someone who is surrounded by people, but doesn’t feel as if she wants to be around them. After they meet on this rooftop they realize they have the same class in high school together, where they get assigned a project. Explore places in Indiana where you haven’t been. Violet talks to him about her being in a crash nine months ago, and Finch helps her deal with her survivors guilt. Finch isn’t really in a good place mentally either, he feels alone, and tired. Eventually, the book ends with one of them having to finish the project alone.
