It places the sun at the center of the universe (heliocentrism). One of his major works is the Revolutions of the Celestial Spheres. It was a key moment in the scientific revolution of the Renaissance period.<br><br>Early Life-  He was born in a city of Thorn in the province of Royal Prussia – the Kingdom of Poland. His father was a wealthy merchant. Copernicus became prolific in several languages, including spoken Latin, German, Polish, Greek and Italian. His mother side of the family helped him studied  astronomy and mathematics, Aristotelian philosophy and Aristotelian natural-sciences which got him to  Cathedral School at Wloclawek and the University of Krakow. </div>]]></description>
