This quotation reminds me of the community's dependence on the information given by the  Oracle of the hills. 

"Read the books your father read" I chose this quote because the dynamic in Okonkwo's community is to respect and take after your father. We see this when Nwoye listens to his fathers stories of war and violence as opposed to is mothers fables that he used to love.

"You gotta be bad, you gotta be bold, you gotta be wiser" This quote DIRECTLY reflects the culture in Umuofia.  The men in the village try to not show fear or weakness. 

"Leaving you behind if you can't stand the pace"  This reminds me of Ikemefuna because he was killed because he was weaker in the eyes of the elders. 

"Others may take a different view" Okonkwo would NOT agree with this quote, he believes you must follow tradition and everyone should have the same worldy views as him. This song reminds me of the struggles that all of the characters in the book have faced already. The line "you won't win your freedom" makes me think of Trujillo. Trujillo isn't letting people have their freedom because he is killing them. The line "Long live the young at heart" reminds me of María Teresa because she is young and innocent.
