It is also a repository of current and historical data of potential interest to managers through the organization. Data are usually structured to be available in a form of ready for analytical processing activities, data mining, querying, reporting and other decision support applications. There are three main types of data warehouses namely; data marts, operational data stores (ODS) and enterprise data warehouse (EDW). Besides that, at the heart of the technical side of the data warehousing is the ETL process that is extraction, transformation and load.
