As I rushed down the stairs, I realized I had left my umbrella on my desk. In my hurry, I slipped on the wet steps and almost fell. Out of nowhere, a man appeared and grabbed my arm to stop me from falling. I was so surprised but managed to thank him.

He smiled and offered to share his umbrella with me, which I gladly accepted. As we walked together, we started chatting about the weather and how both of us had been caught off guard by the rain. He mentioned he was an architect and had a tough day with a demanding client, while I shared that I had been stuck in endless meetings.

Then, as we crossed the street, a car past and splashed us with water. Instead of getting upset, we both burst out laughing. It was such a ridiculous moment that it broke the ice completely. We decided to duck into a nearby café to escape the rain and grab a warm drink.

While we were sitting there, our conversation flowed effortlessly. We discovered we had a lot in common, including a love for travel. He had been to several countries, and I told him how I had always wanted to visit Japan.
