African Americans were denied access to beaches, swimming pools, parks, picnic areas and many hospitals. Separate but equal facilities were not equal.

Brown Vs Board of education was a trial that made a big leap for the movement.  People like Martin Luther King and the freedom riders made a big impact in our history by standing up for their rights.
