"their hearts filled with love to him who has loved them and washed them from their sins in his own blood, and rejoicing in hope of the glory of God" Pg 111
This quotes relates to the topic, Salvation through Grace, through Edward explaining that only through the love they have for God will their sins will be washed away from them. As the sins are in the distance they can slowly regain status with God himself and be in heaven instead of the burning pit of hell. While washing away the sins in his own blood which is referring to god himself and how he will hurt himself and give you his blood to help you in which way you should repay him through loving him. You will also be rejoiced in hope of the glory of God in which then they look over you.

"How dreadful is this state of those that are daily and hourly in the danger of this great wrath and infinite misery! But this is the dismal case of every soul in this congregation that has not been born again, however moral and strict, sober and religious, they may otherwise be" Pg 110
This quote relates to the top, Salvation through Grace, through the thought of hell. Edward tells the people that hell is going to be painful and they will be in misery for the rest of their lives. The only way of being able to be born again and be save is to devote their lives to God. In which way they would be Puritans and devote their life to God and only work to survive. Through such acts they will be saved from God himself and be graced to heaven.
