An antecedent is usually a person, place, or thing. <br><strong><br>Example: </strong><br><em>Nick</em> has a dog and <em>his</em> dog is brown. <br><br><em>Nick</em> is the antecedent and <em>his</em> is the pronoun. </div>]]></description>
