The speakers point of view impacts his impression of the younger soldiers because in the poem he reveals that he is an old soldier therefore showing that he once was a young soldier with valor and false impressions of war. In lines 13 and 14 the speaker says "All soldiers hear the same old lies" this helps prove that he himself as well as others were given a false impression of war they were all told the same thing. The line that says " All armies are the same publicity is fame". In this line he is saying that joining the army is always thought to be something that all men should do that it is a courageous thing to do when in reality it is the complete opposite it causes pain and hurting. The speaker shows that the war is not all it seems and the things said about it are not all true.

The speakers point of view from being in war has made him weary and down from it all. From this point of view we can collect that he sees young soldiers as people who are perusing valor, a false reward. This falsehood of valor is shown in line 4 where he states ¨valor is an attribute of boys¨. This shows how he sees the young men as people going for awards for bravery when really it is just a lie to get you to fight hard for a war that has no respect for the ones fighting. Something that he has learned from fighting for a while.

The speaker's point of view implies that young soldiers lack the experience to understand valor is a false promise of war. The text from within the poem, "All soldiers hear the same old lies," suggests that the author describes valor as false hope and that he obtains the ideas of an experienced soldier. The last few lines of the poem also implies the author's perspective of war as a contrast the those of less experienced soldiers. Line 1, "All armies are the same," further proves that the author is well knowledgeable in regards to being a member of an army. The speaker's words from the poem are coming from their own vision and standpoint of soldiers. To conclude, the speaker's history and perspective of being a soldier reflects on his view of younger soldiers. They know that bravery cannot suffice for the events that every soldier has to live through, and that time can only tell when new soldiers understand the consequences of their position.

His point of view is that they are brave, which usually leads to dying in the battlefield. This is supported by the statement "Valor is an attribute of boys" implying that over time, war changes these young soldiers to care less about being brave or valorous.

Due to the fact of the speaker being an older soldier, his view of the younger soldiers is an inexperienced beginner. His text is spoken from a knowledgeable point of view and he explains that, "Old soldiers all/ have tired eyes." He is speaking from his experience which then leads to his sentence about how, "Valor is an attribute of boys." In this line he explains how boys think that they will obtain courage during the battle, however the speaker understands that it is untrue. With all of the speakers experience as an older soldier, his point of view is spoken from his exposure to the true reality of war. This causes his point of view to belittle the younger soldiers.

For instance "valor is an attribute of boys" he's saying bravery is something boys must have to get though it same as men. He also says "All soldiers hear the same old lies". In lines 11 and 12, he states, "Old soldiers all have tired eyes." Here he is speaking from experience and confesses that he is tired and worn down, unlike the bright-eyed younger soldiers. Similarly, in lines 13 and 14, he explains, "All soldiers hear the same old lies." This supports the statement that he knows the truth about war- he knows that it is not as glamorous as it may seem and that not there is more to it than being viewed as a hero. The ugly truth of war is revealed to older soldiers with time and experience.

The speaker's point of view impacts the impression of the younger soldiers by expressing the truth that life isn't so easy as an older soldier from his experience of being one. This becomes evident in lines 5 and 6, "Old soldiers all have tired eyes All soldiers hear the same old lies". The older soldiers struggle and have lost the enthusiasm they once had as young soldiers to fight. Line 4, "Valor is an attribute of boys" also supports the speaker's point of view. The older soldiers learned that fighting isn't about courage and bravery like the younger boys think it is, it's more like a fight for survival everyday. The speaker gives his point of view of what being an older soldier is like which illustrates what is yet to come for the younger soldiers.

The speaker's point of view impacted his impression of the younger soldiers by displaying that older soldiers have more experience and unfortunately "hear the same old lies". This shows he thinks that younger soldiers may think war will be a certain way, and will have no fear, however war is not all that easy and you will not be courageous all the time. "Old soldiers have tired eyes" in line 5, is another example of showing a different point of view. This explains that older soldiers have more experience than the younger ones, and have been through and seen a lot more traumatic events. A final example in the text which states, "Valor is an attribute of boys" shows that the expected feelings from younger soldiers compared to older soldiers are different. Starting out, younger soldiers may have a lot of courage and aren't fully prepared of what's to come later on, while older soldiers know the feelings when they first started, and how they have changed over time with being through more devastating occurrences. The speaker speaks in his point of view, showing that thoughts and ideas change over time with experience.

An example in the text is when the author says "All soldiers hear the same old lies" this line shows that he's experienced generations of soldiers being told the same lies. Another example is when the author says "Valor is an attribute of boys" this supports that because the author is an experienced soldier he knows that bravery and courage are just the stories they tell soldiers when he knows that war is much more than that. This supports the idea that his perspective as an experienced soldier has a big impact on the way he views younger soldiers that haven't experienced the harsh realities of war.

For instance, the phrase "Valor is an attribute of boys" gives us the impression that the younger soldiers foolishly seek glory and wish to be recognized from their bravery when there's an overwhelming bigger picture, that war can harm and change a person for worse, taking away a sense of hope. This can also be found in the quote "All soldiers have tired eyes", as this shows that the more experienced soldiers are sick of fighting, and their hope for glory is gone, just wanting it to be over. Again, showing that the younger soldiers don't yet know what they're getting themselves into.

This shows that in war, all soldiers are lied to and given false hope during it or even about what war will look like in general. Another example is in line 4 where it says ¨valor is an attribute of boys¨. This quote also proves the idea of a false expectation when fighting in war. On the outside many think that war is great to show your bravery and show that your a hero everyone needs. In reality, the last thing you think while in war is about how to show how brave you are but your main goal it is to survive just so you can get back home. The speaker´s view on young soldiers just show how vulnerable they are and how that the lies they are getting fed just gives them false hope about a crooked view of what war is really like.

the speakers point of view impacts his impression of the younger soldiers by saying that being a young soldier doesn't make them brave and it shows that all armies are pretty much the same for instance "all soldiers hear the same old lies" in this quote Hemingway is acknowledging that soldiers are always being used by the war captains/ Sargents and they don't get the recogniton that they deserve or even the benefits , they were promised when serving their army.

The speaker's point of view impacts the impression of the younger soldiers by making the younger soldiers appear inexperienced and by saying being a younger soldier does not make them brave. “ Valor is an attribute of boys.” This shows that the younger soldiers want to be glorious in their efforts and recognized for their bravery. War can very much mentally, emotionally and physically damage a person. ¨all soldiers hear the same lies", this quote commends the fact that soldiers are constantly given false hope and when their hope is shattered with reality they become very emotionally and mentally damaged. The speakers view on the younger soldiers show how vulnerable they are to false hope and this alor"they receive.

The speaker point of view impacts the impression of the soldiers by making them seem unprofessional or inexperienced to something their no familiar to. ¨valor is an attribute of boys¨ this explains how they think that the boys aren´t capable enough although that they want to be recognized or all their hard work and bravery that they have put into themselves. for instance ¨all soldiers hear the same lies¨ explains how their brainwashed into something that is really not as vulnerable they expected it to be. they seem emotionally drained from all the false hope they were put into. Everything the soldiers experienced is what the younger ones will soon to experience as well.

The speaker’s point of view impacts his impression of the younger soldiers, since he is an old soldier, he knows the hardship of war, and that most of the people who are even lucky enough to survive usually spend the rest of their lives dealing with trauma. The young soldiers are innocent, they’ve never experienced it themselves, and believe that bravery and valor is what war calls for. The speaker knows that most of the soldiers that go to war are not going to come back. The young soldiers have an optimistic view that them and their fellow soldiers will all return. The speaker sounds angry with the army for telling them these lies, and forcing them to brutal war at such a young age. The speaker wants to prevent the idea that bravery and valor is what war entails for the young soldiers. “All armies are the same.” … “Artillery makes the same old noise” … “Valor is an attribute of boys” … “Old soldiers all have tired eyes.” … “All soldiers hear the same old lies.” … “Dead bodies always have drawn flies.”
