Why not punggol ?
Punggol is more towards the wealthy side . Besides the income , the family has to spend extra money for the swimming lessons . It is convenient for the kids to walk to school and walk to the woodlands swimming complex for their lessons. There are bus stops near by, a supermarket, food court where they can eat at and a clinic for if anyone gets sick. 

The house has enough space for the family with two kids sharing a room and the oldest getting their own or just knocking down the wall connecting the 2 rooms to form one big room.

It is affordable as their monthly income of $6000 per month. 

There is an elder care facility just downstairs the HDB opposite them and they can go to waterfront park for activities with their kids. The playground downstairs or the exercise corner is also good for play and work outs.
