The Little Prince is a poetic tale accompanied by watercolour illustrations by Saint-Exupéry himself. In it, a pilot finds himself lost in the Sahara desert after his plane breaks down, but to his surprise, it is there that he meets a little prince from another planet. The story has a philosophical theme, including social criticisms of the strangeness with which adults view things. These criticisms of important things and of the world of adults appear in the book throughout the narrative.

The Little Prince is a very beautiful short novel for children, in which values such as friendship, respect, solidarity and peace are very important. Written in the first person, a pilot tells us how he met the little prince, a very curious, friendly and imaginative boy, as well as the stories that the little prince shared with him.

In conclusion, the book is divided into scenes (not chapters in my opinion), the story is told chronologically and the reader never loses the thread of the story. The vocabulary used in the book is very informal, light and easy to understand. Suitable for all ages.

I highly recommend you to read this book. Nowadays there are different formats and editions of this story, so you will surely find one that you like. At the moment I'm trying to get a Spanish-French version, it's the one that catches my attention the most.
