Which helped the man to get back home the USA.<br>D-Day:&nbsp;The solider describes the day before the battle how serious everyone was, and they were not accepting defeat.But then the day of the battle the solider describes that they were able to push the beach because the Germans were fighting the decoys, which made a huge difference in the outcome and boosted peoples moral.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>CHQ: The Allies landed on the beaches of Normandy and were able to invade the Nazis and attack and surround the Germans.<br><br>1. The man was shot by a German sniper through his cheek. He seemed to be relieved the shot wasn't anywhere in which he might've died. The medics were able to help him and evacuate him. He seemed to be glad that he could go back home to the U.S. despite his injury.<br><br>2. This soldier can be described as worried on June 5 because he knows many of his fellow troops, and possibly himself, will die in this fight. However, he wouldn't except anything other than victory. On June 6 he found out they had tricked the Germans. He felt more confident and relieved about their win.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
