Weaknesses and strengths, Post #4

Corey is shown to have many weaknesses in the play, but also shows to be growing strengths. For example, Corey strives very hard to be prided by his father, who never really cared. He also strives to live his own dreams, but he lets his father stomp on them. Some of the strengths he develops towards the end of the play is to be independent and distance himself from his father. Another one he gains is his mental stability is much stronger thanks to his time in service.

Theme-punishment
"Do not put the sins of the father upon the daughter."
Throughout the play, we see examples of people making mistakes and paying for them. For example, the quote given is when Rose talks about Raising Troy's child. She says this because she did not make any mistake, but the father, Troy, did. Another of these is Lyons being arrested for him working where he did. The same could be said about Corey being kicked out after attacking his dad.
