The purpose of the speech is that people should stand for their rights, and that children should have an educational experience rather than a violence experience. My quote showed that children should be kids, having a childhood, they cant grow up to only know about war and violence. Kids need to learn so that way they can help others and themselves as they grow. Those children can be smart rather than knowing of only how to use a gun.
