Why is Digital Citizenship Important?

I think that teaching digital citizenship is very important in many ways. It teaches students a variety of different things such as how to be safe on the internet and keep your digital footprint safe as well. It also shows students different responsibilities of being a digital citizen such as being compassionate/kind, empathetic, empowering, collaborative, and even confident.

For this activity, we are going to be using collaborative learning! Students will get into small groups of 3-4 and share/write down 3 ways to be positive on the internet, and 3 things that would be harmful to post on the internet. This will help me understand what students learned from the video!
