         <description><![CDATA[<div>2) Solved the Ruhr Crisis<br>Stresemann had helped to kick out the intruding French forces in the German industrial area with a reasonably peaceful solution. He had placed the interests of his country ahead and maintained the sovereignty of the Weimar Republic.<br><br>(I disagree with the point that changing the currency to the Rentenmark was one of his best contributions. It could also be said as his worst, eventually leading to the collapse of the Weimar Republic. The Rentenmark was weak when pegged to Industrial and Economic Assets which were susceptible to economic turmoil when foreign loans stopped flowing in. The Nazi Government‘s Reichsmark was a better choice in comparison as it was pegged to more stable assets like gold.)</div>]]></description>
