Media agencies should be transparent about their biases, as it gives more opportunity to their viewers in order to not only verify the content that is being placed, but to also look for relevant content that may have been omitted from the site. One of the most important values in journalism is objectivity, and that means the entire truth must be stated. This also prevents sites like Buzzfeed from becoming echo chambers and propagandists like a liberal OAN.

Companies like Buzzfeed may positively impact readers through informing people of current events regarding news, celebrities, or their favorite shows. The articles Buzzfeed makes are also admittedly entertaining. Despite these positive effects, some articles may portray a narrow and biased narrative which may lead to possible misinformation or misinterpretation. These articles may also paint certain people negatively due to associations with opposing ideologies to Buzzfeed's.

Buzzfeed's history with plagiarism, copyright infringement, and unpaid labor gives rise to issues on how legitimate or trustworthy Buzzfeed is, and whether or not the company is worth supporting. Buzzfeed has demonstrated multiple times that the company is willing to plagiarize content from others, as in nearly every year there has been a controversy regarding copyright and plagiarism, occasionally resulting in the firing of prominent staff embers. Buzzfeed also makes use of unethical work practices multiple times, such as not paying employees to produce content and being generally resistant to union demands. Buzzfeed's pattern of questionable behavior regarding work practices and the "originality" of their content gives rise to the issue of whether or not this company's content is even legitimate. If the content is plagiarized, then it calls into question how legitimate this company is in creating content at all if they resort to simply stealing it. This is only emphasized by multiple other sources like Pew Research deeming Buzzfeed as a questionable source of information, which casts even more doubt on its legitimacy as a source. The unethical practices gives rise to another issue of whether it is even good to support the company by consuming their content. If Buzzfeed continues to use unethical work practices, then it is questionable at best to continue consuming their content, as doing so is supporting the company, and by proxy legitimizing these unethical work practices.

The good that come from buzzfeed is more variety of news sources. It never hurts to have more news channels so that one can compare the news being reported in a channel like CNN of Fox News to other smaller news sites to see what is true and what is biased. They also do provide a lot of entertainment outside of news, which a lot of people around the world find interesting and worthwhile. The bad comes from their twisting of the truth, primarily in their news articles, where they have been accused of both plagiarism and of being an unreliable news source. This spreads misinformation and that's always bad.

It is extremely important for media agencies, such as Buzzfeed, to be transparent about their biases. Reading opinionated articles allows the audience to be more objective and understand things from another perspectives. Likewise, writers have an inalienable right to express themselves. However, media companies should also be wary of the extent they are expressing themselves. Buzzfeed, throughout the years, has "taken it too far" and has been penalized for that. Expressing opinions should not go to the extent of attacking (directly or indirectly) anyone.

Media agencies hold massive power in today's digital age, being one of the main propagators of both information and misinformation online. Buzzfeed, with it's huge audience and influence online, impacts the opinions and decisions of many people around the globe. As such, biases like political opinions SHOULD be transparent in their writing. Many Buzzfeed writers seem to forget the influence their articles have. Although Buzzfeed writers have the ability to freely express their opinions and views on certain issues, they should not be using their articles to push their own biases and motives. Articles should strive to be neutral and impartial, especially for terms of news and journalism, unless it is otherwise explicitly stated that the article reflects the opinion of the author only. Being able to write impartially is

Media companies should be transparent for the simple reason that the audience are actually more likely to trust them. In the instance that they claim to be objective and neutral but were found out to be biased, they will look like hypocrites and lose credibility. There are also pre existing doubts cast on western media as a whole because of right wing narratives from right wing media. In general, acknowledging biases and giving a solid justification for that bias is something that readers approve of. It looks a lot more respectable in their eyes and they are far more likely to believe in the information.

The impact Buzzfeed’s diversity in content have on its reputation is both good and bad. The reason behind this is that buzzfeed covers literally all topics, from travel, food, memes and etc. This kind of “one size fits all solution attracts more audience all around the globe. However, a disadvantage in doing so is that buzzfeed doesn’t really build a reputation on a certain topic. For example, CNN is focused on news, that’s why it’s reputation is high. Buzzfeed doesn’t really do that, and instead just produces a variety of content.

In the pursuit to viral content, the company's would gravitate towards the current trends and news.
