The visit reminded me that Math is everywhere - in nature, farming and even in how we organise shared spaces (CCE x Math :D). It reaffirmed my belief that young kids learn best when they see the relevance of Math in their daily lives. This reinforces my approach of using real life contexts such as classroom routines and outdoor observations to anchor learning in Math.

3. What is one strategy or approach I am excited to try in your classroom, and why?
"Math Walks" around school where students get to observe and identify shapes, patterns and quantities in nature. Hopefully, this helps them make sense of the concepts in a semi natural environment which makes learning meaningful.

Technology can enhance both teaching efficiency and student engagement. However, when teaching Chinese. AI-generated content may not always align with cultural references, which can result in content that is not contextually appropriate. It still requires careful human oversight and adaptation.

I am eager to use AI to generate short videos that can serve as engaging hooks or explanations for specific lesson content. I believe this will capture students’ attention more effectively, especially for abstract or less relatable topics.

The way AI can tailor learning experiences to individual students’ needs, preferences, and pace really stood out to me. AI could assist in differentiating instruction, helping students who struggle with certain language concepts while challenging those who excel.

By using AI to practice conversations (oral), students can have a more interactive and immersive learning experience. This strategy excites me because it allows students to practice Chinese in a safe, non-judgmental environment where they can make mistakes and improve at their own pace.

   I believe that teachers should leverage in AI to enhance their teaching process. Lessons should be fun at time, and infusing AI into lessons will definitely make it a lot more bearable - for both teachers and students.

   With more and more multimodal texts being used, it would be great to leverage on AI to expose students to more of such texts. It would also be great to use AI to get students to develop their own multimodal texts.

I have tried using AI to generate quiz questions, but find that they lack depth though they will be good for recall type of questions. Currently exploring how chatbots can be used to help pupils master using the CER framework to answer OEQ questions.

   I believe that every child learns differently and that teaching should be flexible to meet their needs. Seeing how AI and technology can support personalised learning aligns with this belief. In my current practice, I try to differentiate tasks and give pupils targeted feedback. Learning about AI tools has opened up new possibilities for doing this more efficiently and effectively. It strengthens my belief that technology, when used purposefully, can help teachers reach every learner—especially those who may need more support or those ready to be stretched further.

3. I’m excited to try using AI-powered platforms that give students instant feedback during lessons. This could be through quizzes or tasks where the AI highlights mistakes and suggests how to improve. It saves time and helps students learn from their errors on the spot. I’m also keen to explore tools that allow pupils to ask questions and get guided hints without having to wait for the teacher. This promotes self-directed learning. I plan to start with small tasks and build up from there, using tech as a support rather than a replacement for teaching.

It reminds me that PE isn’t just about physical fitness—it’s also about promoting holistic well-being. Learning about where our food comes from and how it can be grown sustainably ties in with teaching students to live healthily and be active and responsible citizens. It also supports the idea that learning should be relevant to real life.

3. What is one strategy or approach you are excited to try in your classroom, and why?
I’d like to bring in more cross-curricular links during PE, especially around healthy eating and sustainability. For example, during health lessons, I can get students to think about how the food they eat affects both their bodies and the environment. It’s a good way to nurture critical and inventive thinking, while helping them make more informed lifestyle choices.

2) AI tools can be used to generate simplified explanations of Malay language materials suitable for primary school pupils. These tools break down complex sentences and vocabulary into easier language and help pupils to grasp concepts more effectively. 1. One key idea that stood out for us was how AI can help us make learning more personalised. We learnt that Samsung’s AI tools can help suggest activities or create resources based on what each student needs. This means we can better support students who learn faster, as well as those who may need more time and help.

2. This idea connects well with our belief that every student learns at a different pace. We always try to give our students enough support in class, but sometimes it is hard to check everyone’s progress in detail or to engage pupils in the current wave of interest that they are riding on.

Samsung centre visit showed me that AI can be used to help to generate lesson ideas and related pictures that we can use in our lessons to bring about more authentic learning.

Learning of new technologies is becoming a way of life. The good news is with AI it is  getting easier and faster. Learning to use AI to generate html code to create a web-based game page or an app game to allow pupils to practice skill-based concepts is getting easier.

3. What is one strategy or approach you are excited to try in your classroom, and why?

Use AI to generate html code to create a web-based game page or an app game to allow pupils to practice skill-based concepts like identifying different shapes by using the common properties of the shapes.

AI can also be harnessed to generate differentiated instruction for the teaching of the same concepts in a single lesson package. We can then review the ideas to personalize learning for our pupils of different abilities in a class.

1. I like how they make use of an under utilized space of the carpark rooftop into a garden within the urban landscape of HDB neighborhood. The sharing on the process from seeding, harvesting, packing and supplying is eye-opening for me, who dont really eat vegetables.

2. When I connect this to my current teaching practise, it make me think about ways we can make full use of the resources we have and value add to pupils learning. I think about the spaces that have lots of potential for onsite learning like eco-garden, parade square and even the quadrangle. There are variety of things that we can do to create our lessons more engaging in these spaces.

3. I would like my pupils to engage with art outside the classroom, observe their surrounding, do sketch walks within the school, and think about how the spaces shape their primary school journey.
